Tucked down a side alley close to the main post office, Chavda offers decent mid-range accommodation housed in a large converted merchant's house.
There are roughly 30 rooms arranged over three floors, with a restaurant and bar at roof level.
The Roof Top Restaurant and Bar is a unique spot having a panoramic view of Stone Town, the Ocean and the adjoin islets of Zanzibar. The Restaurant is located right on top of the hotel where you can have a complete and exotic view of the Town. It caters varieties of mouth watering cuisines such as the Indian Cuisine & Tandoor ,Chinese Cuisine, Continental dishes, Local Zanzibar dishes cooked by our well trained chefs with years of experience. The Hotel is 5 Minutes Drive from the Seaport and 15 Minutes Drive from the airport. Here is where you can have a true feel of the life style of the local zanzibaris. If you take a stroll through the market you will encounter very friendly and warm welcoming local communities. The market selling a variety of spices, fruits which are unique to Zanzibar.
Just outside the Hotel, called the Shangani Street, here you will find a wide collection arti-crafts which are specially developed by the local community. You will also find Internet Cafes, Banks, Hospitals, Churches, Night Clubs, Ice Cream Parlors, Post Offices, Public Call Points, Tour Guides.. all of these are just around the corner of the Hotel.
